When wool was found on several occasions to be missing from a local store, two employees volunteered to sit up all night iu an attempt to apprehend the thief. Tlie sequel was heard in the Police Court to-day, when a married man. whose name was suppressed, was convicted of theft, placed on probation for two years, and ordered to make restitution of £7.
