' "lama Fugitive from a Chain Gang,” featuring Paul Muni, is the film chosen by the management of the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, for screening today at 2.30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Tuesday. In addition to this production, which has attracted large audiences in other parts, the comedian Fatty Arbuckle will be seen in “Hey Pop.’’ On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., a double-feature programme will bo presented. The first will be" “70,000 Witnesses,” featuring the inimitable Charles Ruggles and Dorothy Jordan. An equally humorous picture will be “The Vanishing Frontier,” with Johnny Mack Borwn and Zazu Pitts in the lending roles." PRINCE EDWARD, WOBURN Theatregoers of Woburn will welcome tho screening for the first time nt the Prince Edward Theatre to-day of the outstanding musical comedy, "Palmy Days.’’ Eddie Cantor, in the " lending role, needs no introduction. With Charlott Greenwood, he is just as successful as in previous productions which placed him in the front rank of comedians. On Tuesday at 8 p.m. a romantic drama with an unusual plot, entitled “Humanity,” will be shown nt the Prince Edward. Featured In this film are Boots Mallory and Ralph Morgan. PALACE, PETONE Norma Shearer, starred with Clark Gable, Ralph Morgan, Maureen O’Sullivan, and May Robson, will appear in “Strange Interlude” at the Palace Theatre, Petone, to-day. The production, which is recommended by the censor for adult audiences, has been described as the greatest, most profound psychological drama of the modern age, and the screen’s most ambitious, most progressive step forward. , It, will be screened to-day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Monday and Tuesday at S p.m.
