2ZW CHOIR CONCERT

Performance Next Week On Wednesday night next, in the Town Hall Concert Chamber, the 2ZW Broadcast Choir will give its first public concert in aid of the Red Cross Society. A programme has' been arranged to suit all tastes, and patrons are assured of a pleasant evening. The assisting artists have been chosen carefully, and include Olga Burton, violinist; AsSheton Harbord, the well-known entertainer at the piano; Ron and Alma Cowie, in the amusing duet, “The Singing Lesson”; and Harry Matthew, baritone. Two features, by the choir, will lie “Old Folks at Home,” arranged for humming by Claude Haydon, Mus. Bae., with Rosalie Trott as sbloist, and “Love’s Old Sweet Song,” arranged for humming by Thomas Wood, L.A.8., with Eileen Courtenay as soloist. The evergreen “Angelas” from “Maritana,” nnd “Hush Thee, My Babie”. (Sullivan), are also included in numbers by the choir. bass-)baritone, new to Wellington audiences, is Alan J. Cocks, who will niake his first apnearanee at this concert. Mr. Thomas Wood, L.A.8., is the conductor, and, Miss Ina Anderson. L.A.8.. the accompanist. A popular price is living charged for admission, and the box plan is at Nimmo’s, 89 Willis Street.
