SAILORS’ SOCIETY

Enjoyable Concert Held An interesting concert was held on Thursday evening at the rooms of the British Sailors’ Society for the entertainment of men from the ships in port. The audience was a large and most appreciative oue. giving the various items the applause which they deserved. One item was particularly popular, a song by Master Gerald Irvine, who was recalled again and again. , , Items were also given by Mesdames Jennie Potts (who arranged the programme), and Sifflet, Misses Pat Dee, Jean Prangley, Gloria Hassett, Jean O’Connor, Rosina Smither, andl M. Bullock ; and Messrs. Wilson, T. Sifflet, D. Hogg, and Piper Angus Graham. was served at the conclusion. ot the concert, and the evening closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
