ARMISTICE DAY

Service at Town Hall The Armistice Day service at the Town Hall, on November 11, as arranged by the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association, will commence at 10.30 a.m. with organ selections by Mr. W. A. Gatberidge. The hymn, “O God Our Help in Ages Past,” will follow, and the Rev. N. Robertshawe, M.C., M.A., will read the lesson. Prayer will be conducted by the Rev. W. Bramwell Scott, C.F., after which Brigadier Macaulay (Salvation Army) will deliver an address. Two minutes’ silence will be observed from 11 o’clock, and the service will conclude with the hymn, “O Valiant Hearts,” the “Last Post” and “Reveille,” the Benediction, and the National Anthem. The Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) will preside. Invitations to be present have been sent to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and all other members of the Ijegislative Assembly, foreign consuls, and heads of State and municipal departments.
