Dance Recital at Brooklyn A very successful dance recital by the pupils of Miss G. Shardlow and other performers was given in the Theatre Hall, Brooklyn, this week, before a large attendance. There was an excellent programme which was much appreciated. The proceeds will be handed to the Brooklyn Blanket Society. Among the guests at the Midland Hotel are the Misses Barker, Gisborne; Mrs. G. J. Edmunds, Clnistchurch; Mrs. Joseph McLean, Greymouth; Mrs. Vincent Smith, Christchurch; Mrs. and Miss Gaisford, Hawke’s Bay; Mrs. Audrey McLeod, Hawke’s Bay; Mrs. Algar Williams, Featherston; and Mrs. Barker, Gisborne.
