INTER-CLUB SHOW

Anglican Girls’ Clubs An enjoyable evening in connection with the Anglican Girls’ Clubs’ Society annual interclub show was held recently in the Wellington City Anglican Young' Women’s clubroom, Courtenay Place, when there was a large and enthusiastic crowd present representing members from the Wellington City Anglican Young Women’s Club, St. Cuthbert’s, Berhampore, All Saints, Kilbirnie, St. Mary’s, Karori, and St. Aidan’s, Miramar. Items rendered during the evening included songs by Misses Wilkinson, St, Cuthbert’s, and McKinley, AU Saints, and a recitation from Miss May Martin, of St. James’s, Lower Hutt. An interesting competition was provided by St. Mary’s Club. Among the many present during the evening yyere Mrs G. Y, Woodward, of the Palmerston North Girls’ Club, also Mesdames Gaby, Clark and Baker, while an apology was received from Mrs. Janies. Mrs. Sprott presented the various trophies won at the recent tournament. The senior banner and cup for piug l>ong were presented to the Wellington City Club, while the junior banner went to St. Mary’s. The ping pong shield was won by St. Cuthbert’s and the. basketball shield by St. James’s Club, Lower Hutt. A large number of gifts were received for distribution to St. Mary’s Homes, Karori. Supper was provided by St. James’s Club, and the evening was brought to a close with the slug ing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
