Mrs. Mackersey, Hataitai, will go to Nelson by to-morrow’s boat to be present at the marriage of her son Ivan to Miss Sybil Acheson. Mrs. F. S. Greenshields and Miss Greenshields, of Otorohanga, are the guests of Mrs. H. W- Lloyd, Everton Terrace. Mrs. R. W. McVilly, who has been staying for a few days in Auckland, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mrs. McVilly also spent some weeks at Rotorua. Miss Doris Mills will cross to Nelson to-morrow evening to stay with Mrs. Acheson at Wainui House for the marriage of Miss Sybil Acheson to Mr. Ivan Mackersey, of Wellington. Miss Doris Mills, who has been on the staff of the Public Library for more than three years, was met by the staff on Thursday morning, when Mr. J. Norrie, the chief librarian, made her a presentation on their behalf. Miss Mills will leave in December for Melbourne, where her marriage to Mr. Colin M. Smith, Melbourne manager of the /•Radio Retailer of Australia,” and other papers, will take place.
