Staniforth, Essex Street, Masterton. y Miss Jessie Elliott, Kent Terrace, leaves to-night for Christchurch, where she will stay at Warwick House for the 'races.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Crawford Burt, who have been staying at Sayes’ Court, left for Christchurch last evening for the carnival week. Mrs. Sol Myers, who has been staying with her son in Christchurch, is at present the guest of Mrs. 'Henry Wright, Mein Street. 1

Mr. and Mrs. W- H. Saunders, Essex Street, Masterton, who have been spending a holiday in the South Island, have returned to their home. ( Miss Sheila Todd, Nysland Road, Kelburn, who has been staying with Miss Eileen Hegarty, Gisborne, has returned home.

Mrs. John Thompson and her daughter have been spending a short holiday with Mrs. C. Rea at her- home in'Featherston, and will be returning to .their home in-Eastbourne on Thursday.

Miss Lois La Trobe, Karorl, who has been living on the Continent and in England for the -past two years, will return to Wellington on October 13 after staying for a fortnight on her way home with her aunt in Sydney.
