As a result of two boys play.ug with gelighite and one losing a linger by explosion, the father of one of the boys, Robert Maben Currie, was charged with being in possession on October 10 of three plugs of gelignite and three detonators without lawful purpose. The defendant pleaded guilty. . As the police did uot press for a penalty, he was convicted and discharged. He said he had been on contract work hi the country. Some explosives were left over, and ho brought them home for safety. His son found them during his absence.
