WELLINGTON BOYS’ CHOIR

Fifty-six voices will sing in unison and harmony in the Town Hall to-morrow when the Wellington Boys’ Choir will present a concert. Mr. Ernest Jenner, writing to Mr. 11. Temple White, the conductor of this choir, says: It is excellent to think of these boys taking part in a programme that includes sueh beautiful works as those of Bach, Handel, Purcell, Quilter, and Armstrong Gibbs, and knowing your standard in public work. I can realise how well prepared the choir must be. The training in vocal technique, in music reading and interpretation, and in good taste, is, truly marvellous for these lucky boys, the choir will be assisted by Miss, Dorothy Stentiford, n contralto, who arrives from Dunedin to-day. Mr. W. A. Gatheridge will preside at the grand organ, and Madame Evelyn de Mauny will be the accompanist. Bruce Maxwell, the child entertainer. Walter Waddle. Erie de Mauny, and lan and Jim Galloway will render solos, duets, and elocutionar; items.
