MOTHERS’ UNION

Eastbourne Branch

The monthly meeting of the Eastbourne branch of the Mothers’ Union was transferred to Point Howard for October. There was a very good attendance, and all thoroughly enjoyed the address that was given by Mrs. Raine, the president of the Eastbourne branch, on “The Mothers’ Union “and What it Stands For.” The “Hill” mothers were given associate members’ cards, and when the next corporate communion is held in the New Year it is hoped to add to the Eastbourne number.

During the afternoon Mrs. Carte gave some amusing recitations. Community singing and a talk, followed by .afternoon tea, which was in the capable hands .of Mesdames Spooner and McNichol, brought a very happy afternoon to a close.
