WEDDING

Beaumont —Gay At the Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church yesterday morning the wedding took place of Winifred, df>ußhter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. L. d. Gay, Cornwall, to James Henry, son of Mrs. Beaumont, Vogel Street, and the late T. W. Beaumont. Miss Gay, who had been on the staff of the National Opthalmic Hospital, London, came to Sydney on the Oroutes, and arrived in Wellington by the Maunganui ou Tuesday. The Rev. H. Johnson performed the ceremony. . , The bride, who was given away by Dr. Murdo Mcßae, wore a gown of ivory satin. Iler veil was held in place with orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of lilies, ixias, and maidenhair fern. Her bridesmaid, Miss Mary Bryson, wore a tomato coloured georgette frock with a lemon hat and shoes. She wore the bridegroom’s gift, a gold expanding Wristlet watch. Dr. William Macdonald, Willis Street, was the best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hotel St. George, where the bridegroom’s mother, wearing a black broche silk dress and hat to match, received the guests. The bridegroom’s only sister, Miss M. R. Beaumont, wore a black and floral chenille georgette dress over pink, with a matching hat of rough straw. When Dr. and Mrs. Beaumont left for the south, the bride was wearing a navy serge costume, and a tuscan hat trimmed with a natural linen bow. They expect to be away for a fortnight. Among those present were: Dr. and Mrs. Bryson, Mrs, Murdo McCrae, Miss McCrae, Rev. D. C. and Mrs. Bates, Dr. and Mrsl Eardley Button, Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Austin, Dr. Ada Paterson, Miss Paterson,. Dr. Helen Bakewell, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Forsythe, Mr. and Mrs. McNaughton, Mr. and Mrs. N, W. Rowe, Miss Maud Wheeler, Miss M. Ashford, Miss Dickenson, Miss Haynes, Mr. Geo. Cox, Mr. J. C. Port, Mr, B. W. Beaumont (Auckland, brother of the bridegroom), Mr. R. P. Stewart, Mr. Len McKenzie, Mr. Alan McKenzie, Dr. Bolt, Mr. Alex Robertson.
