While exploring the interior of the totalisator house at the Napier Park racecourse, a party of children, among whom was the young son of Mr. Cecil Louissoii, president of the club, discovered a£s note. On returning home and reporting their find, inquiries were instituted, when it was learned that at the club's last race meeting one of tlie club’s bankers was £5 short in his cash on making up his statement for the day. The note has therefore, after many days, boon returned to its rightful owner, and the thanks of the club aud its officials have been passed on to the boys.
