N.S.W. BASIC WAGE
Minister of Labour’s Views Sydney, October 30. In a speech at Randwick, the Minister of Labour and Industry, Mr. J. M. Dunningham, said that he did. not consider £3/6/6 was an adequate wage for a man, wife, and family. “The State Government,” he said, “has not yet reached the fortunate position when we can consider raising our own salaries. I hope that when we do reach that position we shall be a little more considerate."
