G. P. Hughes Arrives in Australia TRIBUTE TO CRAWFORD (Received October 31. 7.30 p.m.) - Fremantle, October 31. G. P. Hughes, captain of the British tennis team, was a passenger by the Orford from London to-day. Interviewed, Hughes said he regards Crawford as the finest singles player in the world. He has no weakness. but has more than his share of bad days He thinks Quist and Turnbull with a little more experience will be a really tough proposition for any pair in the world. Hughes condemns shorts for tennis and considers them inelegant. He Is looking forward to reunion with the other British tennis players now in New Zealand.
