CHILDREN’S THEATRE
Next Saturday afternoon, and on the following Saturday the Children’s Theatre will present the popular pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk,” by Margaret Carter. There is a large cast, including “Cuckoo,” a rather doubtful cow who dances very well, and there is every indication of a delightful afternoon’s entertainment. The pantomime is being produced by Isobel Andrews, and Margaret Pearson has arranged the dances. Mr. F. H. Dawn is the Children’s Theatre director.
Members standing, the following resolution was passed by the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand branch of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John yesterday : —“That this meeting desires to place on record its heartfelt condolence with the bereaved relatives of the late Mrs. H. The Spirit of self-sacrifice shown in her endeavours Is one which the society warmly appreciates.”
