CHATEAU TONGARIRO
Cheap Week-end Trips by Rail People of Wellington and distinct ire offered cheap facilities by the Tourist and Railwav Departments for week-end trips to The Chateau Tongariro. Tne Departments recognise that in these days of diminished spending power, the cost of a refreshing holiday has to bo brought to the lowest possible point, and they have accordingly offered substantial concessions. The Chateau is well known for its modern equipment throughout the great building. It is a very cosy hostel, with wonderful provision for comfort. The enjoyment indoors includes music, dancing, and billiards. Outside there ’-s mountain climbing, and a wide range oi interesting walks and rambles, while tennis and golf players will find on the fine tennis courts and the nine-hole golf course ample opportunity to extend themselves to the full.
