A FAREWELL PARTY
To bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. J. Lawson, of Wellington, who are about, to leave for South Africa, a very enjoyable party was given by Mr. .and Sirs. 11. Alward, at their home, Seatoun, on Saturday evening. The rooms were most attractively decorated with spring flowers, and a large number of guests spent an exceedingly happy time. Much of the evening was devoted to dancing, while songs were contributed by Mrs. S. Gyles and Mr. R. Mexted. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. S. Gyles, Mr. and Airs. R. Mexted, Mr. and Sirs. S. Crichton, Mr. and Mrs. .1. Hungerford, Mr. and Mrs. A. 11. Williams; Mr. and Mrs. .1. Thackery, Mrs. G. Male, Misses L. Alward, M. Langdon, M. Cotterell, M. Duncan, Messrs. V. Alward, L. Dickie, C. and D. Gyles, A, Lulham, A. Hineman, and W. 'Willey.
