“It is pleasing to record the fact, says the annual report of the Automobile Club, “that substantial improvements have been effected to the road between Ngaio and Khandallah and that at the moment unemployed are engaged in constructing a deviation of the road between Khandallah and Johnsonville. These two sections form a very Important link in the additional outlet which the executive proposed through Wadestown and Ngaio, and we look forward to the time when the Wellington City Council will put in hand the construction between Wellington and Ngaio as the final step toward the consummation of the whole scheme.
