EASTBOURNE LOANS
Model for Conversion An Order-in-Council in the current Gazette contains the Eastbourne Borough loans conversion order, which authorises the borough to convert, loans totalling £84,900. The Eastbourne Borough Council was the first local body to be given permission by the Loans Board to convert its loans, and the order was drawn up by officers of the Crown Law Office and the Treasury. The Order-in-Council, therefore, may be regarded as a model which may be used by other local bodies when converting loans.
