A DEADLOCK
Indo-Japanese Conference PROBLEMS OF TRADE (Roc. October 11, 7 p.m.) Calcutta, October 11. The conference of Indian and Japanese mill interests resulted in a deadlock owing to the refusal of the Indians to accept the quota proposals of the Japanese. The Japanese declined to modify their plans for restrictive exports.
