Ideas ABOUT LIPSTICK
(Copyright.) Lipstick, when rightly applied, should supply just that touch of extra colour and add just the correct contour to enhance one’s appearance; but if applied negligently and ovcr-gcnerotis-ly, the effect is crude, and, vulgar. As a preliminary to applying lipstick, see that the lips are thoroughly dry, or the colouring will not adhere properly. Treat the upper lip first, following the contour of the lip, and filling in by blending with the tip of the middle finger. Trace the contour of the top lip on to the lower lip by pressing the lips together. By doing this you assure a symmetrical appearance. Fill, in and blend, the lower lip in the same way as for the upper Up. Caro should be taken to rub well toward the inside of the mouth; also to see, that colouring at outside edges is not too pronounced. Only after lipslick, has been applied and blended, should the lips be moistened.
