ENJOYABLE MUSICALE
Mrs. Coates as Hostess A very pleasant musicale was given by Mrs. J. G, Coates at the old Ministerial Residence, Tinakori Road, yesterday afternoon, for the House Queen. Miss Sheila Coates, in aid of the Fielden Taylor Mission. The folding doors between the two reception rooms were thrown open, and a large number of guests enjoyed the delightful programme which had been arranged by Mrs. B. B. Wood and Mr. Gordon Short.
There were lovely flowers in the rooms; tea was served in the diningroom.
Mrs. Coates received her guests in a dress of navy and rose-flowered chiffon. Those who contributed to the programme were Mrs. B. B. Wood, Mme. Merlin, Mrs. W. S. Pearce, Mrs. Cleary, Miss Elvira Witcherly, and Miss Monica Malfroy. Mr. Gordon Short played the accompaniments.
