PORT HUNTER REPORTS
Due Auckland Sunday The C. and D. Line has received a wireless message from the Port Hunter, en route from London to Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland at 4 p.m. on Sunday. She Is due at Wellington next Friday to discharge the local -portion of her cargo, and will leave again -the fol-, lowing day for New Plymouth to complete discharge and to commence her Homeward loading. MATAROA’S PASSENGERS. The Shaw, Savill liner Mataroa, which la scheduled to leave Wellington at 5 p.m. to-d-ay for Southampton and Londo-n, via the Panama Canal, will take the following passengers :—Alias A. Barton, Dr. H. S. Buckland, Mr. J. Little, Captain and Mrs. AOgilvy. THE ABEL TASMAN. The Norwegian steamer Nord, which ha* been bought by H. C. Sleigh Ltd., Sydney, to cater the intercolonial cargo trade, reached Melbourne last Friday with timber from the Baltic. The vessel, which will be renamed Abel Tasman, is to undergo alterations at Melbourne, and will then load at Sydney for New Zealand about the end of this month; Holm and Co. are the local agents. RANGITATA’S MOVEMENTS. The New Zealand Shipping Company’* motor-liner Rangitata left Bluff yesterday morning for Lyttelton, where she Is- due this morning to continue her Homeward loading. She will later complete at Napier and Auckland, and is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on September 30 for London, via the Panama Canal. MAUNGANUI LEAVES PAPEETE. The Union Company has received cabled advice that Its R.M.S. Maunganul, en route from Sydney and Wellington, left Papeete at 6 a.m. on Tuesday for San Francisco where ehe Is due on September 22. RUAHINE’S MOVEMENTS. To continue discharge of her London cargo, and to continue her Homeward loading, the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahine left Port Chalmers yesterday morning for Lyttelton. The vessel is now ■due here on September 24 for further loading, to the agency of the Federal Company, and will leave again the following day for New Plymouth and Auckland to fill up. She is scheduled to clear the northern p-ort finally on October 7 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via th* Panama Canal. WAINUI IN PORT. .To complete discharge o-f her Melbourne cargo, the Union Company’s Wainui Is due at Wellington this -morning from Lyttelton, and will berth at No. 1 north Queen’s Wharf. She is to leave here again later to-day for Melbourne, via Bluff. WAIKOUAITI AT SYDNEY. The Union Company has received cabled advice that the Walkouaiti , from Bluff, reached Sydney yesterday morning. She is to load at Newcastle, Port Stephens, and Sydney for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, and Oamaru. AORANGI LEAVES SYDNEY. Cabled advice has been received that tha Union Company's motor-liner Aorangi left Sydney yesterday for Auckland, wh-re she is due next Monday morning. Sue will leave there again at 11 a.m. the following day for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver. THE ASAMA MARU. The Japanese steamer Asama Marti left Auckland on Wednesday for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading scrap me'ai for Japan. She is due here about September 21.
