The following team has been selected to represent the South Island in the interIsland hockey match to be played at Nelson on September 2:— Goal, K. Holland (Nelson); backs, 8. Andrews (Canterbury), R. Hanning, captain (Southland) ; halves, C. Belfield (Otago), W. Cole (Canterbury), L. Hunter (Nelson); forwards, E, Pre-bble (Canterbury), H. C. Harford (Nelson), G. Jones (Canterbury), E. Rennick (Otago), E. Grafton (Canterbury); emergencies, back, C. Gibbs (Nelson) ; half, R. Best (Nelson) ; forwards, 11. Whitfield (Nelson), E. Smith (Marlborough). ' The manager will be Mr. O. J. Mullins, of Nelson.
