Auckland Harbour Mishap By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, July 31. The large launch Wharekawa foundered in Rangitoto Channel last night while being towed from Kawau Island. The Wharekawa set out towing a barge, but owing to engine trouble another launch was dispatched to tow both the Wharekawa and the barge. The Wharekawa broke away, and when efforts -ere being made to recover the launch she crashed against the barge and instantly sank. Fortunately the two occupants had previously clambered aboard the barge.
