Ex;im i na t ion Arrangements i Twenty-one delegates were present nt the monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union, which was held on Thursday evening with Mr. Alexander Johnston in timehair. The visitors reported that they were meeting with a good response witli regard to holding district rallies for prize distribution, and it: was hoped to make final arrangements within tlie next few weeks. Negotiations were proceeding with the Presbyterian youth committee with regard to combined teacher Ir:tiuing | classes and eloser co-operation in regard to examinations. It was resolved I to send deputations to tlie youth coniI mittoes of the other churches with the same object in view. - It "as reported that a ITiniary Toadicrs' Association had been formed for the Hutt Valley witli Miss A. Stevenson as president. This was being heartily taken up. and there was every prosped of good work being done. It was stated tliat tlie examiners for the scholars would be Mrs. R, Wood, ALA.. Mrs. Carpenter, Mrs. Callum, .Miss Oldfield, and Mr. H. D. Grocolt. Mr. T. Ti. Strong. M.A., had consented to examine the teachers. Tills year sixteen teachers had entered, this being the largest number the union had ever bad.
