Canterbury Agrees to Play Wellington RANFURLY SHIELD GAME Canterbury has accepted Wellington’s challenge for the Raufurly Shield, according to advice received by the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Football Union last evening. The date of the match is to be arranged later. The committee decided to grant permission to broadcast descriptions of games during the AVellington tour of the Australian universities team. Transfers were granted as follow K. L. Hartley, from Upper Hutt to Wellington Club; Wm. Royel, AVellington to Oriental; G. A. Read, Hutt to ’Varsity; J. C. Smith, Hutt to Johnsonville; T. J. AVoods, Alarist to Petone; G. Ben, Technical College Old Students Club to Hutt; D. Day, Seatoun to Alarist Ohl Boys; A. G. Day, Seatoun to Alarist Club; F. Al. Parland, St. Patrick’s College Old Boys to Alarirst R. Jones, Aloera to Hutt; J. Alulliare, Aloera to Hutt; G. J. Bean. Aloera to Lower Hutt; A. F Alacklin, Eastbourne to Oriental; J. AAL Bond, AVellington to Oriental; R. Roulston, Berhampore to Oriental; K. AlcCauley, Berhampore to University.

It was decided to ask the Eastbourne club to show cause why it should not forfeit last Saturday's match for playing a player before his application for a transfer to the club had been considered by the union. Fixtures for Saturday week were arranged as follow: — Senior A. First Division.
