Man Asleep in Washhouse POLICE COURT CASES Found by Constable Fell asleep in a washhouse at the rear of a house situated at 147 Taranaki Street, Sydney Patrick Bowes, cook, aged 49, was arrested and brought before Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday on a charge of being unlawfully on premises. Accused, who was stated to have a substantial list, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. Senior-Sergeant Dempsey said that when discovered, accused was wet through and was covered only by an old sack. “lie had been on a drinking bout, which, of course, is his failing,” Mr. Dempsey added.
