Notice is given by the Treasury of a new issue of 24 per cent, conversion loan, dated 1944-49, to be offered by tender or otherwise as the Treasury may from time to time adopt. Each tender must be for an amount of not less than £lO,OOO. The object of the issue is to clear up a volume of Treasury bills which, owing to the financing of £80,000,000 of foreign credits in the early part of the year, exceeds the amount ordinarily outstanding.
