Animal Shows Treachery' A dog's treachery—the killing of a baby boy who had played with it. everyday—was disclosed at a Bristol inquest. The child, Reginald Victor Heath, whose parents live in St. Lawrence Street, Newfoundland Road, Bristol, died from bites. Tire owner of the dog. Elizabeth Spozitto, a neighbour, said the animal, which was about 12 months old, played with children every day. It had never shown bad temper. It had now been destroyed. She had looked after the baby ever since be had been able to crawl, and he was with her when she left the room to put some money in the gas meter. “While 1 was doing this I heard the child scream,’ she said. “I found him lying on the floor with my dog standing over him barking. I took the child back to his father and then noticed a wound at the back of his bead.” The 'verdict was “accidental death.”
