Ryan (Hawera), 3. Time, Gmin. 2 4-ssec. Won by 15 yards, third man a touch away. The time reduced the Taranaki record by 22 2-ssec. Clarke (Hawera). scr.. 2. Clarke was successful in this event in breaking his own Taranaki record of 84see. by Isce. Ladies’ Polo: Hawera ladies beat Now Plymouth ladies by 3 goals to 2. Ur. Kivell. Inglewood, had the whistle. Men’s Po|o Championship: Hawera defeated Eltham in the semi-final of the ►South Taranaki championship by 4 goals to 1. and met Inglewood in the final. Inglewood scored first, and quickly followed up with another. Hawera opening their .account just as half-time sounded. Hawera evened up the score early in the second spell, no further score eventuating. These teams have now met twice io decide which one plays North Taranaki for the provincial championship, a draw resulting each time. The game will be replayed at an early date.
