Disappointing Morning RAIN AT TRENTHAM Visitors All Look Fit

Heavy rain that set in shortly after the opening of the Trentham tracks yesterday morning spoiled the final gallops, and there was nothing accomplished to throw much light on the race problems. The majority of trainers were content to get their horses worked and in again. The tendency of the past few years has been the very late arrival of visiting horses and consequent lack of enlightening track work, but it is doubtful if there has ever been less fast galloping prior to a Wellington Cup meeting.
