LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Central Reserve Bank
Sir, —“Small Investor,” In your issue of January 17, takes exception to Air. Anderson’s ideas of the Central Bank. There arc good reasons why this bank should not be tolerated, even though proposed by such a person as Sir Otto Niemeyer, 'who lias the interests of a certain body at heart. Alultiple banks are the safeguard for the people in the way of exchange from the actions of certain people who, in the event of a Central Bank being established, will be able to dictate their will and dominate the Government on all matters financial. South Africa was wise when she decided to have none of it, whether this supine Government will have the .courage to go against their masters is hard to say.— I am, etc., SIEMPRE PIENSE. Wellington, January 17.
