The Vacuum Oil Company’s new motortanker Brilliant, is due at Wellington on Friday from Melbourne with bulk motor-spirit from San. Francisco. The Brilliant was built in America in 1931. and has a gross tonnage of 1)131. She is a sister-ship to the Daylight, which visited Auckland recently. B. AND W. OUTPUT. In Ihe six months ended October 31 Inst the list of vessels equipped with Burmeister and Wain engines was increased by 13 units, aggregating 85.815 tons gross (84,051 tons tlw.), the total output of the new machinery being 68,950 i.h.p.

LIVERPOOL CARGO Cornwall at Auckland The Federal Company yesterday received a further wireless message from tli'e Cornwall, en route from Glasgow and Liverpool, reporting that she now expects to reach (Auckland at 1 p.m. today. She will later proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, to complete discharge, and is due here next Monday. THE MAKURA. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Makura is scheduled to leave San Francisco today for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington and Sydney. She is due here on February 6. CITY OF BAGDAD AT AUCKLAND. From New York and Newport News, the A. and A. Line chartered steamer, ■ City of Bagdad, reached Auckland at mid-day yesterday. She is to leave there again to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia, to complete discharge, and is due here on Friday. The Federal Company are the local agents. NORTHUMBERLAND IN PORT. To continue her Homeward loading, the Federal steamer Northumberland is due* at Wellington this morning from Auckland, and will berth at the King’s Wharf. She is to leave here again tomorrow for Gisborne and Napier to fill up, and is scheduled to clear the lastnamed port finally on January 28 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Cape Horn, Montevideo, and Dakar. PORT FAIRY’S MOVEMENTS. The C. and D. Line motor-ship Port Fairy, is due at Napier early this morning from Auckland to continue her Homeward loading. She will leave there again next Saturday for Wanganui and Wellington to fill up, is due here on February 1, and is scheduled to clear this port finally on February 3 for London, via Cape Horn and Dakar. TITE WANGANELLA. The Huddart, Parker motor-liner, Wanganella. which is due back at Wellington on Friday morning from Milford Sound, is timed to leaye here again at 5 p.m. that day for Sydney. TAMAROA’S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill liner Tamaroa is to leave Timaru to-morrow morning for Picton, New Plymouth and Wellington, to complete her Homeward loading. She is due here on January 27, and is scheduled to clear this port finally at daybreak on February 8 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. CAMBRIDGE IN BALLAST. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the Cambridge left Falmouth on Monday in ballast for New Zealand, via Dakar and the Cape of Good Hope. She is due in New Zealand on March 10 to load Homewards. ■ HAURAKI LEAVES LOS ANGELES. The Union Company advises that its motor-ship Hauraki left Los Angeles on January 12 with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She is due at Auckland ou February 3, and here on February 6. PORT WELLINGTON TO LOAD. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that the Port Wellington left Newcastle at noon yesterday for Lyttelton, where she is due on Sunday to commence her Homeward loading. She will later load at New Plymouth, Auckland, Port Chalmers and Wellington. The vessel is due here on February 15, and is scheduled to clear this port finally on February IS for London, via Cape Horn and St. Vincent. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain G. W. Hearn is in command of the C. and D.'Line steamer Port Caroline, due at Wellington to-morrow from Gisborne. , Captain H. W. Hazlewood, late chief officer, is now in command of the C. and D. Line steamer Port Wellington, which left Newcastle yesterday for New Zealand to load Homewards. The Kaimiro recommissioned at Wellington yesterday under the command of Captain J, L. Brisco. The Shaw-Savill steamer Tairoa is. to leave Oarnaru to-morrow,for Napier, Wellington, Timaru and Lyttelton to complete her Homeward loading. She is now due here on January 25 and is scheduled to clear Lyttelton finally on February 6 for London, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. TARANAKI’S MOVEMENTS. The . Shaw-Savill motor-ship Taranaki is to leave Auckland to-day for Gisborne and Wellington to complete her Homeward loading. Shp is due here on Saturday and is now 7 scheduled to clear this port finally on January 25 for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. THE WAIMANA. The Shaw-Savill steamer Waimana is now to leave Wellington to-morrow for Napier and Auckland to complete her Homeward loading. She is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on February 2 for London, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. THE TEES.’ The steamer Tees is due at Lyttelton next Monday from the Chatham Islands. She will leave immediately on another trip to the Chathams. THE NEWTON ELM. The steamer Newton Elm is due at Wanganui to-morrow from Auckland to complete discharge of her phosphates from Ocean Island. After completion ot discharge she. will bunker at Westport before she proceeds to- South Australia to load wheat for Shanghai. NEW MOTOR-LINER. ’ Messrs. Wilhelm Wilhelmsen, Oslo, have placed an order with the Deutsche Werke Kiel, for a fast cargo motor-liner of 10,000 tons dw., for delivery in December, 1933, or January, 1934.
