AUSTRALIAN BY-ELECTION
Win for Labour Candidate (Received Dec. 11, 6.30 p.m-) Sydney, Dec. 11. A by-election for the Leichhardt seat in the New South Wales Assembly due to the death of the Labour member. Mr. Okie, was held yesterday. It resulted in Mr. J. Lamaro, Labour, a former Minister of the Lang Administration, winning with a majority of 3558 votes.
