Golden Dawn Gold Mines, Ltd. (Owharoa) reports a return for the twelve workins days, ended December 3, of £B9l from 406 tons of ore. The return is based on a gold value of £4 an ounce. On that basis the yield for the period is approximately 222} ounces. Moturoa Oil Wells Moturoa Oil Fields, Ltd., have received the following report for the week ended December 9 from New Plymouth:— Moturoa No. 3 well drilled to 665 feet. Formation mudstone and sandstone in streaks. 10-inch casing to 633 feet. No. 2 well produced 119 barrels of oil (4165 Imperial gallons).
