HALLOWE’EN FAIR
Striking Decorations and Well-stocked Stalls The Blue Triangle Hall was completely transformed yesterday afternoon when the Y.W.C.A. Hallowe’en Fair was opened by Lady Buekleton. A novel and most effective scheme of decoration in orange and yellow, the work of Mr. Fancourt, of the D.1.C., was carried out on the booths where the goods were displayed and made the whole scene a most attractive one. It was as busy as it was gay, and crowds of friends of the Y.W.C.A. were present to help the funds by buying the really excellent and varied goods displayed at the stalls. ISucli sta.ll represented a. room in one’s house, and.one even represented the garden; thus the whole establishment could be provided with novelties as well as useful articles as a purchaser went the rounds. Lady Buckleton was received by Mrs. Gardner, president of the Y.W. C.A. ‘|n Wellington, and little Alexa Entrican presented them each with a lovely bouquet of flowers. In the evening the fun of the fair continued. The great attraction was a mannequin parade of New Zealandmade goods, which was followed by an amusing burlesque by Mr. Redmond
