SCHOOL TENNIS

Association’s Meeting The annual meeting of the AA’ellington Public Schools Lawn Tennis Association was held recently, delegates from city and suburban schools being present. The report referred to the fact that for the annual tournament held at Miramar, in November, 1931, there were 447 entries from 22 schools. Girls’ teams bad been entered by 13 schools. Mr. AV. J, Melody reported that the Hutt Valley schools had formed a separate association, which would bold its own tournament this season. The application of the zoning system with the division of schools into three or four groups was referred to a later meeting. If zoning is approved, separate tournaments and inter-school games will probably be held with a champiou-of-cham-pions tournament as the final event. Officers were elected as follows: — Patron, Mr. T. Forsyth; president, Air. Kean (Miramar South School) ; secretary. Mr. R. McL. Ferkins (Lyall Bay School) ; -assistant secretary.' Mr. AV. B. Gosnell (South AVellington School.); treasurer. Mr. A. McFarlane (Hutt A’alley) ; executive. Misses Swap, AVallach, Higgin, Hiddleston. Ramsay, Messrs. Meloily. Mclvor, Bryant. Olsen. Simpsmi; delegates to Wellington L.T.A.. Mr. MeIvor and Mr. Gosnell.
