FATALLY WOUNDED

Cobbler in Locked Shop RIFLE ALONGSIDE BODY Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, September 6. Hearing the report of a firearm from a small bootmaker’s shop, 98 Glasgow Street, Wanganui, occupied by Vincent Arthur Greenside, about 2 p.m. to-day, a resident tried the shop door,- but found it locked. On gaining entrance he found Greenside lying wounded with a discharged .303 rifle by his side. The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Wanganui Hospital, where he died 2 hours later. Greenside was a single man 35 years of age and lived with his mother and brother next to the shop.
