REFUSED TO OTAGO
Match With M.C.C. Tourists IMPOSSIBLE CONCESSION By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, August 14. Otago’s request for a match with the M.C.C. team was placed before the English authorities by Mr. : Arthur Sims, New Zealand /representative in England, but was declined. The M.C.C. considers they have given a great concession in playing three matches and find it utterly impossible to arrange extra games as Marylebone and county captains have already done an unprecedented thing in permitting the late return of the team.
