ENJOYABLE TEA PARTY
Miss Joan Wright Entertained Mrs. A. B. Buxton and Miss Cotton gave a most enjoyable tea for Miss Joan Wright last Wednesday. A competition was held, the winner being Mrs. TWliigg. The rooms were decorated with bowls of Iceland popples and purple anemones. Mrs. Buxton was in brown lace with small lace coatee to match. Miss Cotton wore green floral silk, and Miss Wright wore brown marocain with coffeecoloured laco yoke. After afternoon the parcels were opened, and to the bride-elect’s surprise contained bottles of choice jams and pickles. Amofig those present were Mesdames C. M. Martin, Wright, IMpe. Johnston, Twhlgg, Onan, Jennings, Wallace, Bradshaw, Mason, Petre, Moss, Gamble, Gilmore, Marchbanks, Misses M. Frazer, M. Macassey, L. TanslOy, P. Wright, and L. La Trobe.
Agnes Samson is making small hats suitable for early spring in jersey fabrics and ribbons, also felt with soft straw. These lints are hand-worked and fitted to the wearer's head. Ill) Customhouse Quay.—Advt,
