TO AID RELIEF FUNDS

Dance at Northland , A. most successfur dance held last Monday evening in St. Anne’s Hall, Northland, was arranged by the Revellers’ Dance Band, in aid of the local relief funds. , The hall was filled to capacity and the happy throng of dancers enjoyed themselves thoroughly, the spot light, streamer, novelty, and confetti dances being very much in favour. Messrs. J. Auld and E. Harrap proved most efficient M.C.’s. A feature of the evening was a burlesque staged by the orchestra. During the evening Mr. Bracey, president of the Northland Progressive Association,, thanked the Revellers for their efforts and accepted on behalf of the Relief Committee the proceeds of the dance, which amounted to a substantial sum. The supper arrangements were capably managed by the ladles of the Relief Committee, and owing to the generosity of the Northland ladies the expenses were practically nil. Mrs. and Miss Rastall and Mrs. Wilson donated the prizes, confetti, and streamers.
