VEGETABLE-GROWING
Wadestown Arrangements Three people were present at a meeting at Wadestown last evening which had been called to discuss a scheme for the growing of vegetables by the unemployed in that district. For about half an hour those preseut took part in an informal discussion on the possibilities of such a scheme, but with so small an attendance anything in the way of a definite decision was impossible. The meeting was attended by the president of the Wadestown Horticultural Society, Mr. H. Baillie, and he undertook to confer with the secretary of Central Committee, controlling the scheme, Mr. A. R. Stone, with a view to ascertaining what allotments were available in Wadestown for the growing of vegetables.
