TWO WOMEN FIGHT
Sensation at Reopening of N.S.W. Assembly ELECTION OF SPEAKER By Telegraph—Press Assn.-—Copyright. (Rec. June 23, 9.50 p.m.) Sydney, June 23. A sensation marked the reopening of the New South Wales Assembly today. Two women in the ladies’ gallery engaged in a fight, and before messengers could separate them one was severely scratched on the face, kicked and punched. The quarrel arose over politics. Sir Daniel Levy was elected Speaker of the Assembly. The House is so lopsided owing to the Government’s huge majority that it became necessary for several Government supporters to make use of Opposition benches.
