TRADE AGREEMENT
Canada & Germany to Negotiate (Rec. June 23, 7.50 p.m.). Ottawa, June 22. It is anticipated that discussion as to the possibility of a trade agreement between Canada and Germany will be initiated later in the year. It is estimated in official circles that the German surtax recently imposed affecting Canada has been cancelled following Canadian representations to the German authorities. New negotiations for a trade agreement will be proceeded with.
