Vacant House Destroyed Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, June 23. Shortly after one o’clock this morning, the-Palmerston North Fire Brigade was called to an outbreak in an unoccupied seven-roomed dwelling in Te Awe Awe Street. The fire had secured a good hold when the brigade arrived and was almost destroyed. . Two leads of hose were used, but only the walls and a portion of the front of the building remained. The dwelling is owned by Mr. R. S. Macaulay and was formerly occupied by. him. .
