Dear Boys and Girls, —■ There has been a sad 10l of rain splashing about in your letters this week. I thought perhaps only Wcllingion was being unlucky. Isn’t it a pity that the Autumn Lady seems to like ■veiling her glowing colours with misty rain and grey skies? However, a wise old lady once said to me, when I complained about the rain, “The rain brings the beauty, my dear,” and she is right, you know. Green fields make a lovely background for autumn colourings, and we have to thank the rain for them. Ton boys, a word with you! One of our girl members suggests that our boy members arc lazy, and indeed I must. admit that there haven’t been many stories by boys in our page for a long, long time. What are you going to do about it, all of you? Ton can’t let a girl call you lazy, so write me some pirate yarns and send them along, will you? Are the girls knitting these days? This is the weather for it! Jumpers and scarves for the cold days that are coming can be knitted by clever little fingers on rainy afternoons. And what about the dolls’ 'winter outfits? Arc they up to date and cosy? Ton’ll find directions for a smart sleeveless pullover for dollic tucked away in a corner of to-day’s page. Let me know how you get on with it. Good-bye. till next week. KIWI.
