DISSOLUTION GRANTED
Victorian Assembly NO-CONFIDENCE SEQUEL (Rec. April 14, 8.5 p.m.) Melbourne, April 14. Following the adoption of the noconfidence motion in the Legislative Assembly last evening, the Acting-Pre-mier, Mr. T. Tunnicliffe, at the request of Cabinet, to-day sought a dissolution of Parliament. The Lieutenant-Governor, Sir William Irvine, granted a dissolution. The election will be held toward the end of May. The Hogan Labour Government was defeated by 29 votes to 25 on a no-confi-dence motion proposed by the Leader of the Opposition, Sir Stanley Argyle.
